Katey Schroeder, PA-C, MPAS
Owner/Founder
Katey Schroeder is a medical provider who spent over 13 years working in traditional primary care(Western medicine). During that time, she always tried to bring as much innovation and alternative medicine into her practice as she could, often bumping up against the limits of large healthcare systems.
After COVID, it became clear that things had to change, and that wasn't going to happen in the old setting. After initially taking a position at the Penny George Institute for Functional Medicine and Healing, a new opportunity came along: building the medical side of a therapy clinic to care for patients who desperately needed help but were stuck waiting for months. In the time of COVID, the mental health crisis was huge, and it was obvious that this needed to be a priority. Plus, as an entrepreneur, the chance to create something new totally reignited her passion for medicine.
After two and a half years, she launched her own practice. This allows her to not only address mental health concerns but to finally bring together her extensive background and knowledge in all aspects of medicine to treat the whole person.
What Brings Me Peace
It's simple: being in nature and remembering to be kind to myself. I remind myself that I'm doing my best, I'm human, I deserve love, and it's okay to fail. Knowing I can handle whatever comes next brings me calm. I have the most supportive friends and family, and I truly believe things always work out for the better in the end.
What Motivates Me
Humor, beauty, compassion, and kindness, and being able to help people on a level nobody else can.
A little friendly competition.
Anything and everything outside.
A Few of My Favorite Things
Comedy and just giggling about anything and everything with my two tiny humans, who bring me the greatest joy.
Walking around the lake on a remote trail with my dog, downhill skiing, and rock climbing.
Playing volleyball at the beach with my best friends (eating SunChips and Slushies is non-negotiable).
People. I just love them—their differences, their stories, what makes them tick, how they got to where they are, and helping them figure out where they want to go.
A good challenge, whether it’s mental, physical, or emotional.
Authenticity, Compassion, and Empathy.
Sitting on my porch with a dear friend, drinking a glass of wine and talking about all the good and the bad of life.

My family, my long list of goals in life, my future self, I also feel deeply motivated when I see progress in areas that once felt stuck.
